Wire and cable are an important industry in national economic construction
Wire and cable are an important industry in the national economic construction. After 50 years of construction, especially the rapid development of reform and opening up for 20 years, the product variety satisfaction rate has reached over 95%, and the Chinese market satisfaction rate has reached over 90%. The product production capacity has greatly exceeded market demand.
Due to the country's emphasis on infrastructure construction, such as the renovation of urban and rural power grids, the development of information highways, the rise of communication industries, the upgrading of electrical equipment, and the requirements for energy conservation, new requirements will inevitably be constantly put forward for the variety and level of wires and cables. At present, only 30% of China's cable varieties have reached a level that can be accepted and compete in the international market, and there is an urgent need to improve the product level and grade for 70% of cable varieties. In the future, there will not be much growth in demand, but the demand for varieties and levels will be a peak period of development.
The rapid development of the wire and cable industry has also stimulated the rapid development of specialized equipment for wires and cables. Over the past decade, the wire and cable industry has spent nearly 20 billion yuan on purchasing specialized equipment for wires and cables, with an average annual investment of about 1.5 billion yuan. At present, the product structure of the wire and cable industry is being adjusted, and the period of prosperity for higher varieties and levels has arrived, with more intense competition. To survive and develop, so many wire and cable factories will inevitably need to spend more financial resources on updating and renovating old equipment. The production factories for wire and cable specialized equipment have grown from three or four in the planned economy to nearly a hundred, with state-owned, collective, joint-stock, private, and foreign-funded enterprises coexisting. Many large cable factories also produce some wire and cable specialized equipment in their machine repair workshops (branches).
The industrial organizational forms of "small and specialized", "small and refined", "creating famous brands", "strengthening professional cooperation", and "establishing strategic alliances between main engine factories and professional component factories" have been confirmed by the industry. During the 11th Five Year Plan period, it is predicted that each specialized equipment factory for wires and cables will seize a product to create brand characteristics, gradually forming a professional production factory for a product, such as copper and aluminum rod processing equipment factory, wire drawing machine factory, stranding machine factory, cable forming machine factory, plastic processing equipment factory, and wiring machine factory. The host professional production factory will conduct comprehensive research on the serialization, standardization, generalization, and automation of equipment, And gradually establish an industrial organization form of strategic alliance between host factories and professional component production factories, work together to increase the market share outside China, form economies of scale production, and gradually develop into a world famous enterprise with Chinese characteristics of wire and cable specialized equipment.
Breaking the Bottleneck of the Development of China's Wire and Cable Industry
The technological innovation system has not yet been formed, and the ability to independently design and develop is poor. It is basically stuck at the low level of surveying and imitation, and the design technology of wire and cable special equipment has not been fully mastered. There is no development mechanism that organically combines wire and cable products, materials, processes, and equipment. It is difficult to avoid a vicious cycle of introduction and re introduction.
The key production equipment for domestically produced wire and cable industry leading products cannot meet the needs of industry development, leading to serious lag in digestion and absorption, long development cycles, and a large number of imports. According to incomplete statistics, there are over 260 imported production lines for drawing, continuous annealing, and extrusion of insulated cable cores for local use; There are 50 suspension chain production lines and 10 vertical production lines for the production of medium and high voltage cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables. Currently, there are nearly ten cross-linked production lines being imported; More than 30 sets of cross linking production lines and electron accelerators for amplitude irradiation; And a considerable number of optical cables, physical foaming, silane cross-linking production lines, and enameling machines.
Compared with foreign specialized equipment for wires and cables, the technical level of most equipment still has a significant gap, mainly manifested in low production efficiency, low automation, high energy consumption, incomplete online testing, poor reliability, and untimely after-sales service.
The specialized equipment manufacturing factories for wires and cables are severely scattered and repetitive, with similar products. They lack large enterprises or enterprise groups that represent the industry level and have international competitiveness, nor have they formed professional collaborative supporting factories with distinctive products and organized production according to economic scale.
Manufacturers of specialized equipment for wires and cables face numerous difficulties, fierce market competition, declining efficiency, weak technological transformation, and insufficient development potential. The production and manufacturing technology of specialized electrical equipment manufacturing plants is still in the stage of mechanized production, and there is a stage gap in production technology compared to the flexible, intelligent, and integrated automation production characterized by computer control that has begun to develop in developed industrial countries abroad.
